At what point in the show was this?

With Irma you gotta do something!

Reggie,

I hardly hate everything. I gave my honest opinion about this number that differs from yours.

Big deal.

And just what is your (and others') problem with that?

Based on a few tweets, evidently Josh Gad was supposed to be in the LaChiusa number as well...

"Unknown fact of the night:I was supposed to perform on tonight's Tony's & couldn't because of scheduling. Hint: you'll know it when u see it"

"So bummed I couldn't be there tonight to join @AndrewRannells and @meganhilty and the gang for the Tonys tonight. Scheduling conflict."

"You pile up enough tomorrows, and you'll find you are left with nothing but a lot of empty yesterdays. I don't know about you, but I'd like to make today worth remembering." --Harold Hill from The Music Man

I mean it was a cute bit...but the best part of the show? And really clever? Putting new lyrics to existing hit music? Don't they essentially do that every year?

I was wondering where Josh Gad was. That explains it. Sorry New Normal got canned, not so much about the other one (1600 something).

To be fair to After Eight, I also preferred Patti Lupone pushing the lawnmower onstage last year. It's hard to top that level of insanity.

I enjoyed the parody but wasn't head over heels for it. I thought the nominated show performances were all better than NPH's performances. One less parody could have meant another category or two being presented live on the air rather than in commercial breaks.

I thought it was funny, especially the "Will Chase" bit plus it gave us a chance to see/hear Megan Hilty again which was a added plus.
