Just saw THE FLICK tonight.  The the guys seemed slightly miscast (Nicole Rodenburg was perfect and excellent).   Was the original cast better?

I saw him last night at HAMILTON.  Really.

No Way To Stop It - The Sound Of Music

This is a post for those who think HAMILTON is the Emperor's New Clothes.

Two songs tops are worth anything.

The staging was non stop - and not in a good way.

Revolutionary?  Um...no. 

Anybody else get choked up when Christopher Jackson's Washington leaves the presidency?  Jackson makes a great Pres!

What's the deal with this?

Pretty standard Family Dinner play.

Performances fine. But not much there.

This reminds me of every Sondheim show.

One should see it once before listening to the song.  Just to let it wash over you.

Then study the score and go see it again.  It's a whole different, new show.

Especially this show - I missed 3/4 of the lyrics the first time.  Had a really hard time liking it.

Second viewing:  liked better - just because I knew what the hell was going on.
