Thumbs up for Mary Louise Parker. Reckless was an awesome play that I thought would be forgotten.
A BIG thumbs down.....where is Maureen McGovern?
NO MAUREEN, CHRISTIAN BORLE, LITTLE WOMEN FOR ORCHESTRATIONS?!?!
NOTHING FOR ALL SHOOK UP, NO BROOKLYN COSTUMES??!?!
I'm heartbroken that the FROGS was completely shut out.
Ditto the snub to Denis.
I'll bitch....
No Maureen? But...but...but...Why?!
No Denis? He was....just...come on?!
Yup. All done.
The featured categories were so tight this year, so we all knew someone was gonna be snubbed. Therefore, no bitching for Steven.

I am gratified to see no technical nominations for "Steetcar", the show was badly lit and badly laid out. I was bitterly disappointed by it technically, so much so the technical aspect of the show and the poor set lay out ruined my enjoyment of the show.
No Jbara?
Ok, so the acting categories had 5 slots, but why only 4 slots for the other categories. Certainly there were enough worthy contenders to fit a fifth slot. Just my opinion. I am happy that this was a wonderful theater season compared to others where the categories weren't completely filled.
Aww, Christian Borle is denied. That sucks.

I digress from my typically articulate nature, given the circumstance.
Dottie, that is how the nominations are done for the Tony's 5 spots for acting awards and 4 for all the others.
Oh wow, Emcee....I had somehow missed that he was absent. Boo to that!
Thanks Smartpenguin. It would have been nice if an exception was made this year. I'm kind of surprised All Shook Up was nominated for anything. I hear David Rockwell's sets are really nice.
I'm generally pleased...I just wish they didn't give Spamalot as many noms, I felt it to be nothing more than mediocre, though a big money maker for the theatre community...just me.

I feel your pain. But am also happy for the noms DRS got.
Barb
I would have loved to see Jbara pick up a nom, but it was just so tight in featured actor in a musical. Barb, I hope Greg isn't upset, we still love him!
For people who have seen Spamalot, which Chris is better??????
Christian Borle or Christopher Sieber?????? I would have thought that Borle was a lock, he even won the award on here, I was surprised......
Where the hell is Maureen McGovern?????? Chitty Chitty Bang Band woman stole it......
Poor David Hyde Pierce having to be the only one in the top 3 to be left out?????? Agree??????
One of the bright side Congratulations To David Harbour!!!!!! I haven't seen a lot of stuff written about him and I know it's an overshadowed and harder role to do. The wife, Honey, has a far easier role and gets more attention for it......
and to Gary Beach, in all the talk of actors for the category he was never mentioned, so good for him, I would think he'd be GREAT in the role......
and to John Lithgow!!!!!!
