Lets play a game... "What role would you want to see X in?"

So, I thought this might be fun. I'll start off by naming a performer and the next person names a role that they think that performer would be great in. For example... someone says "Bernadette Peters" and I might say "Mrs. Lovitt in a revival of Sweeney Todd" (How Sondheim's muse has never played this role is beyond me....)

Might be fun, might be horrible. Worth a try.

I'll start with EVERYONE'S FAVORITE: Lea Michele.

something makes me think that she is over saturated and no one really wants to see her do anything right now...can we have another actor we might like to see on stage? perhaps patrick wilson or mary louise parker?

I'm so excited you started this! I tried back on Thanksgiving day and no one would play along. Instead I got snide comments about how I shouldn't be bored with my family... I hope we can get it going now.

I would love to see Lea Michelle as Mabel Normand in a revival of Mack and Mabel. Actually, I'd just love to see a revival of the show with anyone. Criminally underrated show.

I would love to hear Haven Burton riff the crap out of "Defying Gravity."

And I know she's not right for it, but I'd love to hear Shoshana Bean perform Diana's music in Next To Normal. She'd kill "So Anyway."

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Laura Benanti - ah, so many. I'd love to see a revival of My Fair Lady with her as Eliza.
NEXT UP: John Gallagher Jr.

Oh, and Danielle Radcliffe as Claude? That would be a fascinating sight to see, good or bad. And I love the Sara Ramirez as Mrs. Lovitt suggestion... what an inspired choice that would be.
