I know that the recently retooled the tour so that it could fit into more houses, but seeing it last night I had a questions about the cuts they made. I know Morning Report has been taken out of all productions. But there were some glaring things missing from the previous times I saw the tour that I'm unsure if they are permanent cuts or if its just for this retooled tour. The main cuts I noticed were:
1) The chase scene during Chow Down was gone, which I'm assuming is just for the tour cause the whole Elephant Graveyard set piece looked different.
2) There was a platform missing from the stampede sequence, the one that Mufasa lands one that becomes his bier after the stampede during Rafiki Mourns
3) The entire Can You Feel the Love Tonight dance break is gone.
Really on the whole, even though you're still getting the "same show", everything about this new tour felt off. Even my friend who had never seen it said something. I can't put my finger on just what felt off, it just did. Thanks in advance for any info y'all provide!
