Naturally, she uses some off-color language in describing that, so beware.

Huh. Well, I guess someone had to fill the void left by Mike Tyson.

YEA!!! I LOVE HER!!!!!!!!
The next time I laugh at anything that pathetic excuse for a comic says will be the first. Don Rickles is a funny insult comedian even today. Lisa Lampanelli is just an asshat.
Shes so funny. not for the PC crowd

She's racist and self-loathing and she makes other racists and the misogynist male members of her audience feel fine about their bigotry. She also says her material isn't any of those things because she doesn't "mean it."
AND OF COURSE THAT MAKES HER A TROLL.
Wow, how unusual for someone in showbiz to change their last name!!
you really discovered something there NEMO.
WHAT A SCANDAL!
SHUTTTT UPPP HO
can we use the ignore button on Lisa Lampanelli??

She would just scream louder before her decidedly white husband had to escort her to safety off the board.
I cannot stand how racist she is. Kind of gross that any Broadway theatre would house her show.

Well P DIDDY did Broadway right? so its been done
I'm not agreeing with your comment that P. Diddy is racist but regardless, he was playing an established role in a classic piece of theater. She, I would assume will be doing "her act". Big freakin difference.
OK Fisherman, Fair enough. but she much better then mike tyson
She is as funny as an anal wart.

I've heard of those. Aren't those the uninvited things that keep coming back no matter how hard people work to get rid of them?
A fan of Lisa's is a fan of crap.

Ugh. Just the idea of this show is distasteful.
Sorry to disagree but I find her outrageously funny and she is not racist or homophobic at all. It's an act. I have several friends who know her personally. She happens to be a major friend of the gay community. She's just an equal opportunity offender. Naturally, sensitive types who easily get their panties in a bunch should stay far away.
If you don't get her act, so be it, but she has a huge fan base and this show could be a big hit.
"It's an act."
Yes, a really crappy, dated act.
I've rarely found insult comedy funny, but her is the worst. Just insults that most people today wouldn't be caught dead saying.
She might want to try to be funny for once, but I don't think she's got it in her.

Her jokes are racist, misogynist and homophobic. Great to know "she" is not when she is off-stage. But she makes her living saying racist, misogynist and homophobic things. So who is it she hates most of all, the targets of her jokes, herself. or the rubes who give her their money???
I'm not saying anyone has to like Lampanelli or enjoy her concerts. I myself don't care enough to spend money on them, though I do watch her TV specials.
Her events seem to be based on marginalized people laughing at the language used to keep them in their place. They (we) have been hurt by words, but if they (still we) can laugh at those words, then they (we) don't take them so seriously.
Along with earning a living, I think that's her aim. And unlike Andrew Dice Clay (who was similar when he began), Lampanelli has not cultivated a bully chorus of young, white men who applaud the content of what she says rather than mocking the absurdity of the stereotypes.
Obviously, there is an audience for what she does. I don't believe her fans all secretly hate themselves.
Again, I also understand why many don't agree. Hers is the sort of comedy with a limited shelf life: each new concert seems less funny and more like a child saying "poopie poopie poopie". No, wait: that phrase belongs to Lewis Black (a true genius).

Lots of offensive and politically objectionable acts are funny. Count me as one who doesn't count Lampanelli's among them.
