I think if they would have released the 2nd disc alone (as a Volume 2 thing) it would sell more copies since tons of people already have the 1st disc of this set and I don't think everyone wants 2 copies of the 1st disc, et al.

After hearing the 2nd disc, I'm not interested anymore. This is definitely one of those iTunes situation where you purchase only the tracks you want.

Seriously, I hope you guys enjoy this extra CD. I am thrilled we were asked to do it and if you like HAIRSPRAY, I can't imagine how anyone would not get a kick out of these demos.

I like these CDs with bonus tracks, but I wish we were given this opportunity before most of us bought the original soundtrack back when the movie was released.

No because they released it as a stream on Rhapsody. It is liscensed and not available for download yet until the album is released.

hi!

it's a CATCH-22 situation. The record company didn't know if the CD would be successful (a relative term) enough to merit the added recording and expense of a demo/karaoke/additional cuts CD...until it was! Even now they are taking a risk.

I was really expecting the incidental music to be part of the 2nd CD and disappointed to find out that it's not.

Marc, how come we didn't get the "NKIT reprise" on this CD? It would've been cool! :) I heard the full length version of it somewhere and I can't find it. It was the version without Brenda in "Roll Call"... which might have been it!! Man! lol.

Marc, many thank yous for these bonus tracks. I love hearing some of the underscore from the movie in the songs, especially in "Breakout". It's also great to have "The Madison" in some capacity too.

And I'll add my vote for all of the underscoring too!

"Mr. Pinky's Theme" tickles me.
