Posted: 8/19/07 at 11:10pmDue to a lot of negitivity, much is being re-written as we type.

Posted: 8/19/07 at 11:14pmWhat 'negativity' are you speaking of exactly? Right now, from what I understand, there's a totaled 26, 27 songs in the production. Cuts have been made and they're rehashing what they can (and have to) to make this show INCREDIBLE once it hits NEW YORK. No need to be such a Debbie Downer 'cause you're not a fan of the Disney people. Come'on now!

Most of those "songs" are reprises, a lot or re-writing is going on.
The negativity is apparent in the "word of mouth" from Denver and even people involved with the show.
Are you seeing the show in Denver FutreAladdin?
I trust your youthful opinion.

What people involved with the show have been saying negative things?
I see it on Tuesday evening here in Denver.

CPD, we get it. You don't like the show. But please, do you have to comment about how bad it is on EVERY Little Mermaid thread?

Posted: 8/19/07 at 11:37pmWhile it's unnecessary for CPD to bash Little Mermaid in every thread, it's unnecessary to always jump down his throat when he discusses the negatives in this show. In this case it's clear he was in no way speaking negatively of the show himself, but saying that the negative audience reaction to the material (as well as apparently choice cast/crew) is causing much of the show to be re-written. Take some Valium y'all.

yeah...
Why can't I discuss a show I am following?
DISNEY has their shills jumping in on every thread also.
And I have several friends working on the show and I hear certain things.
And again, I am not mentioning names,
I am not Jerome Robbins.

Posted: 8/19/07 at 11:56pmI think the negative "word of mouth" from Denver may be people who have come into the state to see the show and people who are following the show like people here. The word of mouth I am hearing in Denver from people who live here is pretty much positive. I too have gotten some inside information on the show but it hasn't been anything really earth shattering. And the things I heard have been fixed. I would expect there is some re-writing and tweaking. That's what an out-of-town tryout is for.

Posted: 8/20/07 at 12:46amI just saw it twice this weekend and I have to say that I am definitely pre-ordering the CD (via Amazon). They sounded so good already. It's a very fun show and I liked most of the new stuff. I think they kind of added some songs just to stretch out time or for a scene change, but overall I liked it. I'm still singing the new songs in my head. :)
