have not seen the new cast yet but the plant voices (regular and understudy) are phenominal... go see it you won't be disappointed

"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel

That's so sad! I thought it was over a long time ago, then looking at this thread, I had hope, only to realize that it is closing before I can see it. I loved this production on Broadway, it was one of the best times I had at the theater.

I saw it last night in columbus and it was good. The urchins were phenominal and Liz Pearce (Audrey) is amazing. Though I wasn't so sure about the guy who played Orin, he was good, but I'm used to seeing a Orin with a "meatier" timbre.

I think you hit it right on. Just got back from the show loved it ... although as you said Orin was bit shaky.

It was good and fun though :)

Just got back from seeing this myself.

Jim Poulous was amazing. Not that it shocked me. Jim was the BEST Mark I ever saw in RENT and wa an amazing Huck Finn in TOM SAWYER!

Liz Pearce was brilliant! She sounded like a cross between Ellen Greene and Norma in VICTOR VICTORIA! Audrey is a tough role to play because Eleen Greene is so iconic, but Liz took all thoughts of Greene out of my head.

Darin DePaul was the best Mushnik I've ever seen!

The three girls were fierce!

The only bad member of the cast was Daniel Levine as Orin, et al. He was horribly mis-cast. All of his characters were played exactly the same - as giggling idiots. His Orin wasn't menacing in ANY way shape or form! He made ridiculous faces. Really just truly awful.

What amazed me was the puppetry. These Audrey 2s did things I never would've thought possible. I'm really glad I got to see this before it closed!

PS A non-eq tour is going out next season using the sets and costumes from this production!
