Oh, please be true. I just hope this act is better than MINNELLI ON MINNELLI was. Even if it isn't, it would be great to have her back on the boards!
It is true. I have heard different things.. but the most logical one is that it will include her kaye Thompson show as well as holidays stuff.
I.... would.... die.....
Please god!
Didn't she do the Palace in 1999? I think I remember people begging on the streets to give her show a chance, or so it looked like to me.

The new show that includes the Kay Thompson tribute has had pretty mixed reviews when it has played around Europe but at least the lady herself is back on top of her game for now.
It would be nice to see her name outside The Palace Theatre again!
Actually it got very good reviews. And she has done holiday shows in NY before at Town Hall. It will be fun. I look forward to it.
Actually it got mixed reviews here in London and around!

All the ones I read were good to raves. I did read to nasty ones but they were just about being trashy and not about the show at all. The show is considered a critical and financial hit. She did very well in her outing. There are past threads on this if you care to look.

I saw a concert where she performed the Kay Thompson tribute, along with most of her hits, back in May. I heard most of the audience saying the tribute was kind of dull when they were walking out (to which I completely agree).
I agree. Not my favorite part of the show. I would be happy if she dropped it all together. And I sincerely doubt they were walk outs. Now now.. no BS is necessary.

By walking out, I meant after the show was finished, not during it.
I saw the show in London and she was losing the audience seriously in the tribute section. This was picked up in all the London papers which I read every day here. Of course the show was a financial success- she sold out the London Coliseum (2400 seats) for 3 nights, a little over two days after bookings opened.
Don't get me wrong I LOVE LIZA but this latest show is by far the weakest she has done in awhile. I've been seeing Liza's London seasons since 1979!
