I think the damage had to be significant or else why even mention it to begin with? This may be a bit harsh but methinks that he didnt get the reaction and sympathy he wanted from public and press so now he's saying the damage is insignificant.
Who knows what condition the piece is really in. Hopefully its all been torn to bits and stays that way
If this actually happened, and he didn't back up ANY of his score in any form, then he is a grade-A moron.

Or is he actually being clever? If he "didn't back it up" and his "cat deleted it", then if nothing ever happens with 'Phantom 2', he doesn't have to come right out and say "actually, they were right, it was a retarded idea". You see?

"All he has to do is put the Puccini music back in the computer and change a few notes and the problem is solved."
Since when is Andrew Lloyd Webber even REMOTELY comparable to Puccini?

This is absolutely hilarious. True or not, it's equally funny. In fact, I don't know what is funny - this being real and his cat actually destroying what he had written (and him being an idiot and having no backup) - or this being a cover-up bullsh*t story because he actually hasn't written anything yet. Each is wonderfully amusing.
