A good alternative, by the way, for a more vibrantly recorded La Cage is the Australian cast recording with Keith Michell and Jon Ewing. Ewing is not quite the singer that George Hearn is/was, but he also doesn't scream and growl as much. Michell is fabulous.
Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.
