All the shows mentioned, I have seen, but mostly the touring casts, not on Broadway.
I have seen Phantom on broadway. I wasn't really interested in seeing Chicago again, but last March I saw it when Bebe Neuwirth rejoined the cast as Mama. The show was better than the touring casts I've seen.

Mamma Mia. Never had the desire.
Although I worked at Phantom when it first opened, I hadn't seen the show from start to finish (and as an audience member) until this past August.

Posted: 12/4/14 at 3:38pmIf I am in New York or West End I tend to see musicals that are new or I know have a limited chance to tour…. Although it might not have the glitz and size on tour it still is the same show. The only thing that would tempt me to see long running shows would be a guest star. But Idina Menzel only does new musicals so not many stars could tempt me! Lol

Jersey Boys and Rock of Ages because of no desire. The Lion King because I saw the international tour and I thought it was for kids only. Book of Mormon because of my tight budget.
Saw Phantom only because of Sierra Boggess and Norm Lewis. Saw Mamma Mia!, but I want my 3 hours back (commutation included)! Saw Wicked once, but felt like back in kindergarten: kids sitting around were talking, laughing, eating candies loudly and, maybe a bit too engaging.

I have not seen Mamma Mia, Rock of Ages, Book of Mormon or Kinky Boots due to lack of interest.
Broadway Week offers 2 for 1 tickets around the 3rd week of January which has prompted me to revisit several of my favorites.
I have seen The Lion King, Chicago and Phantom several times because I really enjoy them. I too just went back this past Spring to see Bebe as Mama Morton in Chicago. I am glad I did otherwise I would have missed Bianca Marroquin as Roxie who was phenomenal.

Phantom - saw national tour long ago no desire to ever see again
Mamma Mia - just. no. desire.
Lion King - saw national tour that's enough for me.
Jersey Boys - I think would like to see someday, but can't bring myself to.
ahhh all these people have no desire to see Chicago. That's a shame, it's fantastic.

Never saw Motown, Billy Elliot, Mamma Mia or Jersey Boys on Broadway. Though I did see Billy Elliot and Mamma Mia in London. I also think it's a shame so many have no desire to see Mamma Mia. I just find it to be so fun. I always leave on a high. Seeing it in London shortly after it opened with the original cast was an electrifying event.
I just have no desire to see a bunch of middle aged people relive their youths
Says the person with the Follies avatar. How old are you, anyway? Have you avoided Jersey Boys, or to an even greater extent, Hair for the same reason? I've always seen it as people (middle-aged or otherwise) enjoying some of their favorite tunes performed live and joining in the celebratory post-curtain call reprise on a joyful high. I certainly do, but it has nothing to do with reliving my youth, but rather enjoying the moment and having fun. And if you don't want to see people enjoying themselves in such a fashion, just leave during the curtain call. This "middle-aged" person plans to continue expressing his joy when he feels it, regardless of whom may be put off by it.
