I'm going to be in the city next weekend and I'm looking for a Matilda ticket for Saturday, March 23, either performance. I figure there will be no rush offered since it's a Saturday and Spring Break, so I'm searching elsewhere.

Here's a wild suggestion. Try Telecharge...

(There is no ONE spring break. Pretty much anywhere in the month of March is someone's spring break.)

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

And as mentioned above...there IS a ticket available on telecharge.

Matilda producers thought this was Spring break, there was a blackout period for this week for discounts.

Didn't all the discounts out there expire a week or two ago? Why should they offer more when it selling like crazy?

I don't think "spring break" has much to do with it.

I wonder if they'll bring back the discount at some point before it wins the Tony?

Not if it's selling well without one.

Back to the Spring Break issue. When I picked up my tickets for the show back in January, I had the discount code in hand. The code was good for performances thru April 7. I didn't read it thoroughly and asked for tickets on Friday March 29. I was firmly told by the BO that this was a blackout date as well as the rest of that week. March 23-30.
