haha, I KNOW!!! she looked adorable!! and the entire cast was SOOOOO nice! i love them all!!! and Laura was such a frickin sweetheart!! i know ive already said that but OMG!! she just is!
haha, wish i could go back on tuesday. im trying to get my friends to take a day trip or something with me but then my one friend suggested possibly going the beginning of our christmas break! *crosses fingers really hard*
That's so cool Tchi!!! I am so insanely jealous of all the pics you got with people though!!! My goal was to get as many pics as I could with ensemble people because I wanted to make a cool photo album/scrapbook kind of thing to remember my awesome summer I spent at Wedding Singer, but I had gone to see the show so much it started to seem a little awkward to ask for pics as the cast got to know me more and more so I wound up with definitely not as many as I would have liked. But that's excellent you got them! Everyone is so incredibly sweet.
The show yesterday was AMAZING!!! And the rush line was absolutely insane. People that probably got to the line around 9 for the 12 opening were turned away. Because the entire center section they gave away, 101-115, were taken by people (including me) who got there between 7 and 7:45, so yeah it was freezing but definitely worth it. Except some people got so angry about it, probably about 25-30 people were turned away. I mean yeah I understand their right to be upset because they wanted to see the show but it wasn't our fault. We knew that it was going to packed that day, Cara's last being a majority of the reason the crowd was there that specific day, so we planned ahead. It's not like we said "Hey let's all come randomly today and screw people out of tickets." Every one was nuts. And I was also sitting on the right side, whereas I'm usually on the left and I actually haven't been on the right since the beginning of July, so it was a new perspective and I saw little ensemble things I haven't seen before, it was cute. Ummmmm *tries to remember little things* oh yeah! After the whole Robbie and Julia kiss thing after Robbie says goodbye and then he does the little slap thing to Glen, he just kept backing up into him, didn't stop, walked right on top of him. Amy and Laura lost it and had to turn around, because otherwise they would have been looking at us in the front row and we were cracking up too. Haha and 'Casualty of Love' was insane too! Cara's Donatella was priceless. You could hear so clearly every little thing that she was saying on the side and I guess the rest of the cast could too because you could see people on stage losing it for like the whole number. It was absolutely HILARIOUS!!! Ummmm apparently before 'Not That Kind of Thing' the guitar fell off the stand thing and somebody had to run on and get it? I didn't catch that one...oh and after the whole 'Where's the beef???' line and then the whole surprise bachelorette party it looked like Laura started cracking up because she didn't even say the line 'Don't worry I didn't hear anything!!!' but instead just threw the balloons over her head and practically ran backwards off the stage, nearly tripping on her way out! Laura also was throwing in these cute little things like after 'That lady's hilarious when she says that right?' she said, 'Oh yeah she's pretty funny...' and stuff like that. A lot of the under the breath stuff the actors usually do were picked up by the mics but even though basically only the front row were able to pick up on every little thing, it was still hilarious. But seriously a classic performance. Not as funny as I heard Saturday night was but it was definitely amazing.
After 'It's Your Wedding Day' while they were all mingling around the stage it was cute because a bunch of people were all going over to Cara and giving her hugs, it must have been so hard for her not to lose it. The only time she did lose it was at the very very end after curtain call when they all usually dance off the stage. Everyone just went over to Cara, it was so cute. Definitely a tear jerker experience. I'm going to miss her soooooooooooooo much, but I'm so happy and proud of her for the chance to do 42nd Street and I cannot wait to go see her in it!
yea thats amazing!!! i LOVED all the cute moments like that that i saw that i didnt get to see last time when i sat in the mezzanine. but question for you bwaydreamer: i was standing right beside your friends at the stage door and christina asked them if they saw her do her dance. what dance was she referring to? lol, just curious.
and yea, i deff had to take advantage of my one trip to see it! i got pics with EVERONE that i wanted to including Ashley Amber and Adinah!! and OF COURSE LAURA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it took me about 4 or 5 tries, but i finally got that pic with her! lol.
and i finally got cara's autograph on my cd booklet!! since its her last show, i deff wanted that since she is on the recording.
but im not even kidding, i am on such a high right now from meeting laura! she didnt even go around to sign so i had to catch her before she left! VERY glad i did though!
o, and tell your one friend thank you so much for taking all those pics for me yesterday, my friend had strike so she couldnt be there so i just got your friend to take some for me!
o, and was christina's bday yesterday too or did you guys just get her stuff? i thought that was cute, and those were a lot of cookies!! lol.
o, and last thing! lol, did you see nicolette's jacket yesterday!! i was in love with it!! ot was gorgeous!! haha
Constantine was on Good Day NY on Fox this morning doing a live blog and he stated in the blog he would be with the Wedding Singer in December. So it appears his run is being extended.
Sorry about Matthew. It hasn't been confirmed, though.
Jekyll & Hyde back on Broadway! / Rock of Ages - 5 Tony nominations! Awesome!
I loved reading that. I have nothing against Matthew but maybe I will get to see Constantine in the Wedding Singer after all!!!! If I lived on the east coast, I would see the play at least weekly.
Thanks for posting :) *excited about the news* Updated On: 10/16/06 at 12:46 PM
I saw the blog where he said he'd be there on Nov. 18th. Much as I love Matthew, it's good Con is sticking around (at least it looks like that). I will wait for an official announcement nevertheless to know for sure.
When Constantine came into WS, I only knew he had been on American Idol and been in Rent on the tour. Didn't know anything about his acting or singing abilities. I was impressed with him in Wedding Singer, and though I loved Matthew, if Constantine can continue bringing more people to the show, let him stay. The only issue with him that I have- I see the show pretty regularly, and most of his fans come on the weekends. Many of them scream for "Sammy on the bass", and when he knows he has fans there, C hams it up for them throughout the entire show. He rarely does it during the week. But he is always gracious at the stage door, stops to sign for everyone and take pictures, and I think he is a great member of the cast.

I totally agree! His arrival appears to have brought a bit more attention to the show, which is ALWAYS a positive, and is indeed a good add to the cast.

That bothers me as well; it's kind of disruptive when they do that. But as you said, it rarely happens during the week (I am going on a weekday to avoid such a circus--at least I hope LOL), and his graciousness at the stage door--at least the accounts I have read recently--more than compensates for it.
Saw the show for the first time Saturday Night, I LOVED it. I thought it was great. We laughed throughout the whole show. I loved the Grandmother. The whole cast is great! I would definately go see it again. It is just one of those shows that you pobably miss laot of the little nuances the first time, seeing it again I am sure I woudl pick up alot of those little things that you all talk about. I originally bought the tickets because of Constantine being in the show, but I have to say the whole cast was great, the show was great and I just loved it!! Yes we saw Ashley Parker Angel, my daughter got her picture taken with him she was very excited!
how did i miss seeing ashley parker angel? he couldnt have left early cause i was out there waiting for the show to end. o well, i prefer the cast anyway! lol.
and yea, it was really distracting how everytime (for example after "single") the audience would go CRAZY after constantine did something. i mean hes great, and he does deserve it, but the rest of the cast DEFF deserves the same attention if not more. but i will say that he does go around and sign EVERY autograph and takes pics with anyone who wants them and he is DEFF bringing in more people. i just think that some of the screaming during the show needs to stop. even at the stage door, everyone was pushing and it just was too chaotic.
Oh man, if I go again (I'm looking at Saturday, November 11th) the stage door's going to be just as crazy, isn't it? I was barely used to it the last time, and it wasn't nearly as bad as it must be now!
I would LOVE to go during the week, but that's hard when you have to travel and you have work/classes. Hopefully it won't be too bad if I get to go!

Your pictures are adorable! I'm glad you had such a good time.
Christina must be an incredibly patient person, because that hair has got to be insane to straighten. She looks cute, though.

I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...

Christina just got her hair cut on Friday, they blew it out at the salon and she has just had that hairdo since then. She doesn't own a straightening iron, yet.
