Hello folks,
Could somebody please tell me when the news comes out about the week's ticket sales? Thanks, I know last week WS got the highest increase in percentage... hoping that happens again!
Broadway Legend Joined: 3/20/04
Percentage doesn't matter. Gross does. It could be the most improved show in terms of audience members, but if it doesn't break even, all is nill.
Yankee, it seems like you post that same post every week after somebody says 'YAY FOR PERCENTAGE!'
They are hooraying for PERCENTAGE. The percentage went up, it's true. They can hooray.

But percentage doesn't keep the show open.

*wonders*
Could somebody please just answer my question?
How or when do we find out the percentage/gross change and how this compares to other shows????
thanks :)

Jean, usually the week for the grosses/percentages ends on Sunday, so they may be available sometime tomorrow or after that. Look under "Broadway Grosses" in the left menu, and when it says "Updated 9/24" that will be the newest report.

Thanks so much :))
Hoping for the best for WS!
So do I! I always check the grosses/percentage reports when they come out.
Actually, the new grosses/percentage/etc show up on Monday's. I don't think I've ever seen it show up any earlier than that.

Just got back from the show! Awesome show, awesome time! Lots of energy from the cast tonight as always, the audience loved it and it was a pretty packed house. One of the best moments was during Not that Kind of Thing when Tinas energy went a little off the wall and her shoe fell off, her and Stephen were laughing for a bit, but quickly got back into the song..it was just a cute moment. Constantine was alright, hes not my favorite Sammy, but he did a lot better than I was expecting, his singing is great, I'm just not sold on his acting portrayal of Sammy. Amy was amazing as usual, the ensemble was awesome and the rest of the cast did great as always. Rode the train home with Nicolette after and now I'm going to bed! Go Wedding Singer!
Oh and one more thing, the crazy fangirls obviously there for Constantine were crazy!!! the stage door was insane!! talked to stephen and Tina real quick and then of course Nicolette, and that was it..there were sooo many people there you could barely move. So yeah I'm really done this time..lol..later guys!

Tina has a bad track record with those shoes! At least it didn't go flying into the audience this time.

ha ha, she does, but they make for such cute moments! lol
so does anyone know is the stage door is less insane for a saturday matinee than the 8 oclock show. my guess would be that it is but i need to make a decision of which show to see when i go and i dont want the stage door to be too crazy!

well I think right now with Constantine, the stage door at matinee will be pretty crazy as well, but maybe not AS bad as the evening.

Stage door is always crazy now with him.
Has anyone seen that huge sign with Constantine's picture that is in front of the theater? (Like a big sandwich board on the sidewalk) SCARY!!!

yes i saw that sign and was a bit frightened..lol
-Amanda*
Gretch, everyone dances a little at the show - its totally expected. You are a very good audience member :-P
Liotte, the sandwich board is SCARY.
I would suggest stage dooring night shows. Sometimes, cast members don't come out after the matinees.
And to the person who said Richard and Kevin haven't called out...Richard has been out a bunch lately...planned absences for the most part although you might have been insinuating him and Kevin are the only ones you haven't seen understudies for. In that case, you lucked out!

could someone post a picture sometime of the scary sandwich board?
sounds...scary
:P
Manda, were you will in A8? Because judging by your avatar, you really look like the girl who was sitting next to me and my friend...
For all of the Altar Boyz fans here, this little bit had my friend and me hysterical for like fifteen minutes after it happened - Kevin Kern was on for Matthew Stocke, and therefore proposed to Andy Karl. After the proposal, they ran offstage together, and Andy proceeds to scream, "AHH I LOVE YOU, BODY, MIND & SOUL!!!!" We LOST it. I love Andy random screamings! (for those who aren't ABz fans - Andy is the original "Luke" in ABz, and his big solo song was called "Body, Mind & Soul." Kevin is one of the original swings from ABz)
Also, for those wondering, according to Andy, his last show is next weekend, and that David Josefsberg will be back from medical leave the week after.
