Very very impressed (and half-surprised) Fela! took home so many awards (musical, costume & choreographer). The road is perfectly paved for its Broadway transfer now.
Congrats to Our Town (revival and director) and Ruined (play and actress) for their wins! And way-to-go Lorenzo Pisoni for one-man-show (totally thought Birbiglia was gonna take it). And wow for Inishmaan nabbing both deserved featured actor categories.
Sure, people are really abuzz right now with Tony noms right around the corner, but seriously, people, some of the BEST stuff is Off-Broadway. I (and many other NYers) are lucky to have caught some of these fine theatrical pieces. If ANY of the nominated and/or winning shows are still on the boards that you haven't seen yet, grab tickets!
