I believe it was here on BWW that I first heard of Luke Evans' cover of The First Time Ever I saw Your Face.
Because of his current role in The Rocky Horror Show, I've been seeing him on various talks shows promoting the show. I saw him on The Kelly Clarkson Show last week (I think it was a re-run) and she just gushed over his interpretation of the cover. That appearance on Clarkson's show rekindled my interest in his previously released albums.
I'm completely enamored w/Evans' voice. He's got a whisper-y, sand-y quality that I find very masculine. It all but disappears when he goes into falsetto.
Although I enjoy listening to the album (At Last), what really makes me swoon is watching him perform the Roberta Flack cover in the video. When the orchestra swells, and he modulates up an octave on the verse, "and the first time ever I lay with you..." -- YOWZAH!... Fuhgeddaboudit
I also enjoy his second album, A Song For You. His interpretation of the title track is excellent, as is the second track, You Raise Me Up. There are many songs that I enjoy on both albums, but with the exception of The First Time Ever I Saw You Face, I like his second album a bit more.

Hello John Adams!
If you haven't already listened to it, i highly recommend the audiobook of his biography, read by Luke himself. It's very entertaining
