"the man manipulates Swallow to get the gun for him, whilst at the same time, slightly falling in love with her. It's very complex. She's trembling, he's trembling...."
Though the show has it's faults 'A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste' is 11.5mins of overwrought Jim Steinman and i love it. Easily the best number in the show, even if Swallow suddenly thinks she's a bad girl just because she's on the back of a motorbike.... I have a boot of the 2006(?) US tour with Eric Kunze and Andrea Ross.
Kim Criswell was amazing in the 2015 London production of Carrie, playing Margaret White. She has said that she went in for the role on Broadway, before it went to Betty Buckley. I dont know if the full production is on YT, but a pro-shot was done and all the big numbere are on there at least.
She did a few West end shows years ago, but its mainly cabaret/concerts or recordings now..
I was speaking to a well known writer of s show that Kim did a long time ago, and is also

Odds are 2:1 that the source is them talking out of their posterior.
Meanwhile, I was at the stage door the other night and one of the performers (I don’t want to specify which one) made a very STRONG hint that November 10th is likely not going to be the end, but the details are still being finali
Coming the other way, 2 shows that lasted less than 2 months in the West End, Spring Awakening and The Drowsy Chaperone. Not even Elaine Page couldn't sell tickets for that. I dont recall it having much publicity before it opened.

Nah, but you should apologize for lecturing and telling people they were wrong and did not GET the bombastic musical that was Tammy Faye (RIP). We all got it, which is why it ran for 29 performances and lost $25 million."

The fact that a 50 minute second act was turned into a 2h movie helps to bring some solutions, but also expose some problems.
Aside from a gorgeous ''Thank Goodness'', the fact that we have to deal with ''Wonderful'' and Elphaba's new solo doesn't help because I'm not necessarily a fan of this animal subplot.

Its not that she couldn't hack it. Amber Riley got pneumonia and was out for a while. Marisha came in and alternated the role with someone else until Amber came back, though she did go down from 7 to 5 performances a week. Amber was great in the role.
I just watched an interview with Corbin Bleu and he said that one of his dream roles would be to play Frank in Rocky Horror. H's got the chops and has name recognition. Not a terrible choice to play the role.

Depends on what their definition of successful is. The 1991 Palladium production of Joseph was a massive hit, ran for 2.5 years, the cast recording was no.1 on the album chart for a few weeks, Any Dram Will Do was no.1 on the pop charts for week
I stand corrcted (said the man in the orthopedic shoe)
I guess was wrong about there being a Dorothy doll.
Though i think its a very odd decision, given that its not her story and the likeness is very similar to the original for WB Studios not to be involved.

Sydney was in 1990, 2 years after Broadway and was a mix of London, Broadway and some new elements. It's such a confusing mess to watch, especially if you're only familiar with later versions.
