Went to see his greatest hits tour back in the early 90's. He puts on a good show.
This is weird that this was announced today. I was just saying this past weekend that I wanted to see him in concert. If I can make it to the city I am excited for this!!! I admit it. I am a FANILOW!
I saw him when he appeared in Rochester a couple of years ago. I was a bit nervous as he is "of a certain age" by now, but he can definitely still put on a great show. He sounded good - I'd seen him back in the 70s and the show was really very similar. The only awkward parts, I thought, were a) when he sang "I Write The Songs" with a video of himself singing it as a young man - then you really noticed the aging/plastic surgery
and b) when he descended from the stage in a sort of little cage and pulled someone out of the audience to dance with. Otherwise, it was fun - I'll always have a soft spot for him.
Saw him in Rochester the last two times he was here, the last one was just this past September- sat third row, and I have to say he was better this last time than he was three years ago. I think I may come in the city for this one- he puts on a great show! And maybe I'll finally get to hear him sing "Every Single Day" live!
All he needs to sing is Weekend In New England and I am done. Love that song.
Didn't he just play several nights at Radio City Music Hall? I thought I saw them on the papering services, although there's a chance I could be remembering wrong.
Either way, I think this will be very successful. There's something about a Broadway concert run that tends to bring out fans from across the country and around the world.

Yes, my friend and I saw him at Radio City on 04/30/12 -- what a fabulous show he put on...
I hope his show on Broadway is a huge success; he deserves it!
I saw him at the Garden in 2005 (I think...). And had seen him a couple of times before that, since the 1970's. He puts on a great show.
And, yes, 'Weekend in New England' gets me every time.
I love him and I wish that I could make it back into the City while he was playing
