For awhile the rumor was either Chen's "20th Century" or a new production "Merrily" was on Roundabout's agenda. Or maybe both.
Was it rumored (or did I dream it) that the West End (via Menier) "Merrily" was being transferred, not unlike the Menier's "Sunday" a couple years ago. It's as good a production as one could hope using the post-York revised book. However, part of the sparkle is the UK cast, which, like "Sunday" would probably have to be transferred with the show to retain what is special about it (so superior a production and cast to the recent Encore's debacle).
I heard the same rumor that the Menier Merrily was being transferred. Though I don't remember that any specific details were included in the rumor...just a facebook friend "announcing" in a celebratory way that it had been announced.
For those who will be wondering, this does NOT necessarily mean Cabaret is off the table for this coming season.
I wonder how true these MERRILY rumors are?

They're as true as all those rumors about Loretta Swit playing Aldonza are.
It could play the Sondheim Theatre is Cabaret goes to Studio 54?
