michael riedel: the most powerful man on broadway!! fear him!!

All the adults I know, love to laugh. Being an adult, one knows laugher is the essence of a joyful and productive life.

HA Ha to our generation is your LOL! Funny, being multi-generational, I a fluent in both!

It's funny the people who are such strong advocates of free speech are the first ones to say "shut-up." Did you know in the adult world, you can lose your job for that?

Our warm household of family and friends are enjoying the patter on the playground that you have provided us with tonight.

Thanks.

A Couple of quotes to end the day:

This whole thing is bulls**t.Why do you pursue a career in the theatre? To perform, to act, to inter-act with the cast and the audience.

To LaC, Donna M., and others, unless you have the flu or there is a death in the family, you get your ass onto the stage and WORK! There are hundreds/thousands of men and women dying to get a role in any show let alone a lead in a Bway musical.

Show up for work!

God Bless The New York Post.

Yes, we know, you already provided a link to your entertaining but definitely not in the way you intend it to be blog. But you can just keep cutting and pasting from here to there and back again as long as your heart desires, I guess.

Maybe you can make a short video of yourself reading those quotes and put it up on You Tube and put a link in your sig file.

Go ahead. That'd be awesome.

All of this from the person whose signature says, "Shut up"?? WOW.

When your blog has 3,000 visitors in one day, you can include that in your self titled book, "Once and for all: Shut Up!"

God Bless Michael Riedel and the New York Post.

Thanks for looking at the blog. No doubt you learned something.

By the way, if I were reading the quotes of my friends and family in live performances, I would be sure to play eight shows a week.

We show up for work.

And this is a teacher! You're not a very intricate thinker, are you Chanticleer?

"God Bless The New York Post" is honestly something I would have never thought I'd see in print, and this is coming from someone who enjoys reading Riedel's column.

There's a lot of history behind Namo's name and someone's quote in Namo's signature. So much history, so little grasp of it.
Rest in peace, Iflitifloat.

I've just read the article, so I may be a little late with my opinion- I love this article.
She's won a Tony. People wanna see her. Does she get that? And besides, she has one terrible number at the end of the second act and doesn't sing much durring the rest of the show. How does she need vocal rest? Patti LuPone has missed very little of Sweeney Todd (aside from an illness, vacation and her current production of Gypsy at Ravinia) and has a much more demanding part. LaChanze has gotta get a life.

I believe that years ago Danny Kaye performed in 2 By 2 while in a wheelchair. He had sustained an accident earlier

My word... this topic is certainly getting heated. Let's just say we can agree to.... "disagree" and move on. Shall we? Just thinking out loud. from roman in austin, texas
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

Finding Namo: Do you show up for your job each day?

I love the earlier post where it is stated that Patti Lupone "DEMANDED" not to do matinees. How ridiculous. If she didn't do matinees, I'm sure at the time of being contracted it was noted that she didn't do this or that, and if management agreed they would contract her. If they weren't happy with her and the terms they'd look for another actress.

I believe that Donna Murphy's attendance was questionable way back as far as THEY"RE PLAYING OUR SONG. Wasn't there issues with her attendance during THE KING AND I as well?
