This fall’s biggest party is about to start.
Direct from the West End, Jamie Lloyd’s much-anticipated revival of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing arrives in New York tomorrow night (October 31) with its full London cast intact. Fronted by Tom Hiddleston and Hayley Atwell as Benedick and Beatrice, the play has a company that also includes Mara Huf, Mika Onyx Johnson, Gerald Kyd, Forbes Masson, Phillip Olagoke, Mason Alexander Park, James Phoon, and Tim Steed. Expect lots of hot pink and confetti over at the Winter Garden Theatre, where the romcom opens on November 19 and runs until January 10.
“In Much Ado About Nothing, Benedick falls for Beatrice — if he doesn’t fall over himself first. A comedy rich in verbal play, physical gags, and colorful characters, Much Ado About Nothing is a timeless story of chasing love at all stages of life. Intrigue, rumors, and overhearing gossip all lead to dual weddings in this masterpiece.”
