Mona Pirnot’s “I Became We” at Atlantic Theater Company

I am very curious about I Became We. Anyone else have any info or thoughts? I have not seen any other pieces by Mona Pirnot. I like the idea of a chorus and will probably grab tickets.

World premiere play

I Became We

October 16 – November 15, 2026
Atlantic Theater Company - Linda Gross Theater

A first-person monologue performed by a sixteen-person choir about a woman in her mid-thirties wrestling with one of life’s most important decisions. With plainspoken, contemporary language sung in the stylings of classical choral music, comes a new formally-daring, auto-fictional play from the writer of I’m Assuming You Know David Greenspan, Mona Pirnot.

Atlantic is thrilled to welcome back Obie Award winners Mona Pirnot and Sarah Benson (The Welkin), as well as Relentless Award-winning composer Jack D. Coen (Jo Jenkins Before the Galactic High Court of Consciousness) for this groundbreaking world premiere musical event.

More interested in this one with a choir. Her previous piece at NYTW, while interesting, was one of the most boring things I've ever sat through.
