Any one worried that they will suffer the same fate as La Cage at the hands of the Nederlanders?

Sorry but I'm in no hurry to see either of those revived.
Maybe Mendes, Hytner or Leveaux could turn me on to them in a new way. Otherwise I would like to wait a good long time and see them revived in a museum piece type of production with a huge charismatic star.
Mame would be great- with Cher or Liza as Mame
Megan Mullaly as Dolly
Peter Filichia suggested Victoria Clark as MAME.
She could probably do it better than anybody but she isn't a "name" producers would want.

I vote for Christine Andreas as MAME with Christine Ebersole as Vera. A reunion of sorts since they did Oklahoma together in the '80s with Andreas as Laurey and Ebersole as Ado Annie.
Ebersole as Vera would be great OR Christine Baranski as Vera might be good too
I definitely think Baranski would be a better choice for Vera.
Annnd Kristin Chenoweth as Agnes Gooch.
Harriet Harris as Mame, Patti Lupone as Vera.

Harris would be a great Agnes. I don't think Patti would ever take Vera even if she were offered.
I agree- i don't think Patti would take a non lead part

fyi kids. the kennedy center is putting up a full production of mame starring christine baranski this coming january. if it follows the same reception as on golden pond last year it might get the green light to move to nyc... i was invited to the auditions, can't decide if i'm going to go yet.
Bette NEEDS to play Dolly. She'd be amazing as MAME too.
"Harris would be a great Agnes"
Can she sing Soprano? I could actually see her as playing Vera.
Patty LuPone would be a good Dolly.
Beete would totally be great as either
Christina Applegate as either!
i am kidding...
I hope you are kidding LOL

Oh I would love to see Bernadette as Dolly...I worry a bit about her voice in the part though
bernadette would be great but I have never really been partial to her. Not to say she isn't great but I just never got into her
Back to the original question, is anyone concerned that the Nederlanders will give us under-produced versions of these classics?
Bernadette MUST be Dolly.
