"Mame" clips on That's Kentertainment

Sorry if this has been posted... didn't see it on a search...

The clips of "Mame" on Kentertainment are very enticing. The production looks sumptuous, the choreography seems lively and Baranski looks, moves and most importantly sounds fantastic. I was sort of so-so on this, but now I'm REALLY hopin that transfer happens...

Are there any other media clips out there?? I was really hoping they would show some more of it... I know sometimes the local news shows highlights, etc.

Yes, Max Von Essen is adorable. I met him after the show last Saturday night and he is cute as a button!

Okay, I haven't seen the show...but those clips were brilliantly disappointing. Could the choreography be any more paint by numbers high school? Baranski is miscast - and that is apparant from those few clips.

What a shame.

You would really pass judgement on someone's performance as "miscast" based on 2mins of poorly shot video footage?

I tried watching the clips last night, but there was too much, I don't know how to say it so I won't, before the Mame clips came on, so I turned it off.

I CLEARLY said "Judging from those clips" before any sort of commentary about the show. Based on those clips, she is miscast.

What is a shame or wrong or inappropriate about that?

FROM WHAT I'VE SEEN FROM THE CLIP, I really didn't get all excited about it and hoped for it to come on Broadway.

I think the show looks pretty good from the clips. The blonde, synthetic wig on Christine Baranski screams "dinner theatre". It is distracting. She looks beautiful as a brunette.

Unfortuntely the clips do not do the show justice. I had my problems with the production but the show is certainly better than those clips. Also all of these are press reels and were... I'm sure shot during dress. I'm sure I saw the same clips on the local news. From what I hear from everyone I know who has seen the show recently (I saw it in the first week)- Baranski has stepped up to the plate.

As for Warren's choreography...it is by far the BEST I have seen in years. Paint by number? I think not. Being the associate to Stroman on several shows- he certainly has studied from the Stroman school of choreography and it shows. But if I do say so myself- he is leagues better than Stroman. The tango (speakeasy) in Open a New Window is simply brilliant.

I thought Baranski was miscast and I saw the entire show. Max von Essen is SO BEAUTIFUL and his voice is so rich. And the WIG - god, why not an elegant twenties look (like Beth Leavel's in the Drowsy Chaperone) or even updoing her natural hair! eesh - she's beautiful, but htat wig did not enhance anything.

based on the clips (a secret folks.. if you let the video load while paused you can fast forward through the ummm "filler" ) i want to see this since harris and baranski are 2 of my favorite actresses, but i will admit that for the first few seconds of the bosum buddies clip i literally said "christine is singing the wrong verse... oh, right she's mame"
