And all I can say is if it isn't going to be better than the original or bring a new vision to the show- there is no need for a revival. I was actually very open to Christina Applegate until I saw it. If I wasn't, I would never have seen it. I never was interested in seeing Wayne Cilento's choreography because I've never liked anything he's ever done. I don't need the Fosse production...I would actually prefer to see something different. But I definetely didn't need to see Wayne and Bobbie's.

Couldn't agree with you more on Walter and Wayne's work. Boring, boring, boring.

Frankly I was looking for someone with a personality. Yes Charity has to act, sing and dance- but she more than anything has to carry a show. For me she hit many of the right points, and yes hit a lot of the scenes out of the park- but in the end it added up to not much. Maybe this is because a lot of the supporting cast was rather dull (cast to make Christina look better), and Cilento and Bobbie's work certainly didn't help. I actually thought Christina did quite well in the acting department- but as a presence I find her rather boring. May be a personal taste thing. Just didn't work for me.

Fosca- Jane screwed up. It's Neil Simon's play, and a revival at that. You do what he wrote or you don't do it. What Jane did was not admirable, but instead highly unprofessional. She's talented yes, but also known to be a royal pain.

I don't know all the details but I know that Jane had an argument with Neil Simon during the workshop of the show in New York (post Marissa, pre Christina)

And Christina Applegate can sing? I have hear the Once on this Mattress and a bootleg of How To Succeed...Great No, but better than half of the TV actresses turned Broadway actresses. I promise you nothing could be worse than Molly Ringwald. My vote would have gone to Jane Krakowski- but she screwed that up royally.

A friend of mine had an extra ticket, and although I didn't LOVE the production when I first saw it I did like it alot so I figured I would tag along. Peter Marks review is dead on. Unfortuntely the clips do not do the show justice. I had my problems with the production but the show is certainly better than those clips. Also all of these are press reels and were... The real question is why in the world would you want to see Dance of the Vampires or Little Shop of Horrors? I support the filming of theater of course and I thought the Light in the Piazza was exceptionally filmed, however I don't need to see every Broadway show on PBS. Light was a rare and wonderful treat and certainly worth it. This needed to be taped for it's sheer beauty- one of the most breathtaking productions I have ever seen with what I am sure will one day be called one of the great...
