Hi everyone! I'm looking to see Mamma Mia in a couple of weeks, because of the shows closing... Does anyone know where I can find cheaper tix than the discount on TheaterMania? I'll greatly appreciate it :)

Discounts tend to be similar no matter where you get them.

Also.. the grosses have been way up the last few weeks, there may be fewer discounted tix available in general and especially as the closing date approaches. The Broadhurst does offer Standing Room Only when the show is sold out, so if you are in town its always a good idea to stop by the box office to see if they have any SRO available. If there is a decent discounted ticket you have found and really don't want to miss it before the closing, i'd go with the sure deal now, who knows how long it will be available. Just my humble 2 cents.

You can try rush. I payed $32 for tickets in the 4th row, partial view tho. It wasn't bad at all.

wondering too...the latest rush report showed 17 in line on weekdays and 15 on weekends, but not sure how many they gave out (and if that 17 includes days when they have matinees)

use the today Tix app. It looks like there is an almost 40% discount plus if you use code RSDSI to make your first purchase, you can get $20 off.

In case anyone was wondering - I rushed Mamma Mia this morning (8/19) and was first on line. They only had 2 rush tickets available, everyone behind me was only offered standing room. The man who works at the box office told me that for the past few days they haven't had any rush at all so I was lucky.

Thank you for the feedback. I was thinking of trying rush for my daughter and I during our short trip to NY labor day weekend. But if they are only handing out 2 or so (and I suspect it will stay like that as Mamma MIa is leaving Broadway mid Sept), then I don't want to waste time standing in line when chance is very low....and we could be out doing other things in NY. We'll still have the option of getting tickets at TKTS if we want cheaper seats.
Glad you got your tickets. Enjoy the show! Out of curiosity, what time did you stand in line to be the first one.

I got on line at 6:50am though, the second person on line did not arrive today until 8:00am. So, I suppose I could have gotten there at 7:50 and still have been first today. However, yesterday I got to Something Rotten at 7:30am and there were 3 people on line across the street at Mamma Mia already, so, I decided to play it safe. I've done rush several times in the past have have been first at 8am...

Very glad to hear you at least got tickets when in line 3hrs in advance. Even 8am is a long wait. Too bad as I would love to see it on Broadway before it goes (from my Avatar you can see that I am a fan), but will skip rush....perhaps last minute or just will not catch it this time. Thanks for reporting back.

Today they sold standing room to the people who were on line for rush because that's all they had left for that price. Yesterday they only sold standing room because they had no rush.

Went to rush today and they had NO rush tickets for matinee or evening. They informed us of this at about 9:45am, when there were 30-40 people in line. The box office attendant said there will most likely not be rush for the rest of the run.
The did offer standing room for $32, and the cheapest regular seats available were $70.

How early do you show up for work? Box office opens at 10, they likely don't have to be there much before 9:45.

Wow... I wasn't complaining, I was just giving the details of how rush was handled this morning since many people have asked within the past few weeks and I'm sure many others are wondering.

Well, there probably weren't any matinee rush tickets since they only had one show today 
lol
Thanks for the update :) I wish they would put a sign up on the window like Beautiful has done in the past so that people don't sit there for hours for no reason (i.e.: "There will be a limited number of rush...there will be no rush tickets today..etc)
