AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHAT!?!?!??! I've been waiting for this to happen FOREVER !!!!!! I gotta get a ticket just to see her!!! OMG....like her "Defying Gravity" is going to be AAAAMMAAAZZING!!!! Her vocals were awesome in Dance of The Vampires !!!!

My friend who works in the wigs dept said he's excited mostly about this new casting because finally the leads will be back into height order. Glinda just a hair shorter than Elphaba and Fiyero just a hair taller than Elphaba. Mandy will rock.

I'm right here. First of all, I never, ever said a name. I did agree with another poster who said it would be a country singer, and it looks like my information was wrong. I didn't get it (nor did I say I got it) from a "very reliable source," I saw tangible written proof with my own eyes. I had information that turned out to be wrong, and I'm not going to beat myself up about it. Feel free to vilify me all you want - I honestly couldn't care less. I wasn't trying to mess with anyone, and I've certainly learned my lesson about talking casting before there's an official announcement.
Anyone else need to take a shot at me?
Now that all that nonsense is (hopefully) out of the way, best of luck to Mandy. I'm sure she'll be great and hopefully I'll have a chance to see her in the role.

She sounds incredible in those clips! I hope she sings this score healthily without it tearing apart her voice. She has such a wonderful voice, I don't want anything to happen to it!

Yay! Congrats to her! I saw her in Inthe Heights and she was just absolutely amazing. Hopefully I can see her before her contract is up!

This is so exciting! I bought my tickets for the end of April a couple months ago and have been hoping that they would have cast someone new before i see it (nothing against Dee I just wanted a change)! I'm glad its Mandy! I saw her in In the Heights and she blew me away! I am definitely looking forward to this even more now! :)
