There is a huge difference in singing a couple of songs with that scary range and singing the entire score without a break (other than the intended intermission).

It's an endurance test, not a capabilities test. If she could rest in between songs or sing something not nearly as demanding, sure.

But that's not how Evita was written.

I'm going to agree and say that if such a concert is ever to happen Patti would need to play nice and stop calling Webber an "asshole" in interviews.

And it won't, because she won't. More's the pity, though... that idea someone posted of the three Evitas mirrors what Hal Prince wanted to do and later discarded the concept of: three actresses playing Eva at different phases of her life. It would be interesting to use that concept and pull it off with the stars.
