As I am a huge Manilow fan and not in NY till end of February I am really hoping he will extend his run, he did say it was going to be 'open-ended' Do you think they will release a couple more weeks?
I think the only mistake they made was the $350 tickets he was only $250 in Vegas its a bit higher than usualy probably to deal with rent of the theatre as he is only doing 5 shows a week. Had they made them a little cheaper it would be selling faster.
This is a special engagement which I think should run into at least March! I was lucky enought to meet him earlier this year in London before his concert which was awesome!

Posted: 12/13/12 at 7:05pmI don't see why it wouldn't extend. It promises to be the box office bonanza of the season. Besides, it gives Barry Manilow something to do in his old age.

Posted: 12/13/12 at 7:24pmIt will likely extend if Jujamcyn cannot find a tenant to fill the theater before the Tony cut-off since it would otherwise likely stay empty through the fall.

I am not a Manilow fan so I don't really care.
But, I have to ask, what happened to the poor man's face? Why do stars do that to themselves? I truly feel sorry for him at this stage of the game.

Posted: 12/14/12 at 9:45pmI find it unlikely that he'll extend. He just did a concert in CA with horrid ticket sales. Some tickets were reduced to only eight dollars each, and the day of the concert tickets were being given away all over-- even by country music radio stations.
