What was this movie about?
I know it had A LOT of Broadway folks in it but I also heard that Lisa Kudrow from Friends was in it too.
Just curious

one of the worst movies ever. in the movie lisa krudrow's character takes over her father record company. on the record label is a ganster rapper(damon waynes) who people hate. it lisa krudrow's job to improve the rappers repuatation and save her fathers record label.
there are alot of b'way people in the movie, sherri rene scott, jane krocowski, matt morrison and adam fleming to name a few. also marc shaiman wrote some of the music.

I remember reading through my Caroline, or Change Playbill and wondering what this movie was.
In that show alone, Veanne Cox, Aisha de Haas and Capathia Jenkins all had Marci X in their resumes.

Haha one of my best friends is in this movie too! Andrew Keenan-Bolger plays Lisa Kudrow's son...he told us how he filmed his different scenes over two years! Quite strange.
He is a student at U of M with me.

Posted: 8/17/04 at 1:57amI think I see why it failed, I mean I love lisa kudrow, but as a supporting role... She's funny, but type cast and frankly just not a strong enough actor to carry a movie... but I may have to see it with all the talent. Worse comes to worst bad movies make great drinking games.

Posted: 8/17/04 at 9:58amActually Andrew Keenan-Bolger played Christine Baranski's son...the movie was really stupid---but pretty funny nontheless.

Posted: 8/17/04 at 10:08amThere was absolutely nothing funny in or about the film. Not one single funny or redeemable moment. Something, somewhere, went horribly wrong and it's there for all to witness.

Posted: 8/17/04 at 10:16amI thought this movie was absolutely hysterical. Totally politically incorrect and that is why it was so very funny.

Posted: 8/17/04 at 11:11amThe movie itself was HORRIBLE. I did, however, get a kick out of teh boyband Boys'R'Us, which included my boy Adam, Matty Morrison, Michael Seelbach, and Manley Pope (3 out of 4 ain't bad.. and Adam is a STAR!)
