I still don't get who would put money into this.

Apparently, the project was financed by her wealthy husband.

I wondered that too, Master. And what of Mr. Somers, her 1st husband and the father of her love-child?

I just returned and I'm numb. Margo said it all.

All I can say is that, compared to this, Joyce DeWitt in Gypsy will be GENIUS.

Margo- You never fail to amaze me...It seems that the venue it plays is diseased with horrible messes of shows- I saw a Jackie Mason 'musical' there in 2003 entitled "Laughing Room Only" which was probably the worst theatrical experience of my life.

Glad you were able to make the most of it though!

This is a classic example of a show that never should have been done. Her book was apparently quite good and insightful but whoever wrote this didn't do a good job of translating it.

I didn't see the show but from what I've heard, the topics that should have been poignant and touching were really played way too snarky and light hearted. And in general, the show sounds really poorly written. Oh well, on to the next thing!

"Did she REALLY say this: ""...I was lying there naked, and they decided to kick me and step on me, just like these visions you see in Iraq!"?

You betcha, Namo.

Well, Master, you are never really sure if Riedel is telling the truth, exaggerating or just outright making it up...so...while this show may be lame...I'm not sure I'd believe she said this just because he said she did.

As for this theater being cursed with bad shows, Rusty, let's hope not...Odd Couple opens there in October.
