I've heard clips of Maria. She's pretty good.

This could easily explain the rumor of Eden Espinoza doing the SF run of the tour. I believe that LA is running throught the end of July which gives Eden about a month to prepare. I believe that SF runs from the beginning of August until the middle of September. I'm no expert on Stephanie's injury, but with her current limited performance schedule, and a month and a half off, maybe she'll be back full time for the next leg of the tour.
Whatever happened to class?

on that evening! I know you will still enjoy the
play...the understudies are awesome!!
Again, I'm sorry. My injuries are keeping me from

Much joy,

Where have you heard clips? Idina gave me chills, not cry though. My mom cried at the end... in For Good...but I didn't...

I saw Maria go on as Nessarose, and while I was watching her, I could see her easily perform Elphaba.

They wouldn't hire a woman who couldn't sing/play the role. All the leads/standbys/understudies are going to be amazing.

I'm not sure if this has been addressed, so if I'm pulling a multiple post, I apologize.
If the producers of the show fired Stephanie for an injury she sustained during performance, they could be brought up on charges by Actors Equity. When we had a speaker from Equity at my school, she told us about how, when she got an injury while in 42nd Street on B'way, Equity was able to insure that she would be able to take the necessary time to recuperate and heal without being replaced. This is the same courtesy the producers of the Wicked tour have to give to Stephanie.

Princeton doesn't know whay he/she is talking about. Stephanie isn't getting paid for the shows she misses. Equity contract only allows so many sick days. Her understudy gets her salary for the shows she goes on.
