This will be the death of broadway.
I am a major fan, and I would surely enjoy this, but it would still make me laugh if it happened. Hardly anyone will like this. If it happens I will have to pinch myself - but not for joy. She will crash and burn if she does it, but I am an objective fan - if she has an ego that thinks this will work, then she deserves the ensuing agony.

I'm a huge fan too, but I think this is a horrible idea. I know she's working on writing a musical based on her Christmas album, which would be a traditional Broadway event. I think that is a great idea, but a musical based on Mariah's live is irrelevant and a horrible idea. Someone call her and tell her.

You would think that with all the money she's made she could afford complete outfits and not just scraps.
poor kid...
What happened to her Broadway show based on her Christmas album?
I'd much prefer a musical of Glitter.
Now they're gonna make a movie based on the Christmas album, rather than a show. From what I have heard about the plot, it sounds like a piece of redundant, cliched garbage.
Mind you, I am the most devoted fan of Mariah's (where the music is concerned), but even I find her Christmas album to be pretty saccharine. I barely play it at Christmas anymore. Carpenters or Tony Bennett is more my idea of Christmas. Her album is sweet, but way too sugary. I am a rare fan who cannot stand her "All I Want For Christmas Is You" anymore - but I am glad her detractors find something to like in it.

Is the stage musical going to ignore the fact that Carey was under the thump of a mafia music executive?
Who would want to see a show based on this singing whale?
WHO is telling her this is a good idea?
Oh god, all her songs are so bland, it would be one long sound a like RnB snooze fest
