Shannon, the girl who was going to take over for Carly in July, is actually a standby, not an understudy. If they gave her the job now, theyd probably want to change her contract and get another standby- getting Marissa for a month (since she was available, clearly interested and already knows the role) was probably easier as well as a good move for picking up interest.

She has some life. She gets to dance with Jerry Mitchell and wear William Ivey Long.
Not so shabby. Oh, and she gets to be in a show with Bruce Vilanch. Lucky girl.
Now they just need to bring back Kerry Butler!

I got my tix for the 14th! What was weird though-was that as I was checking dates, tickets that were available five and ten minutes before suddenly weren't anymore! They're selling out! The gays exploit EVERYTHING. geez.
