Hey All -
I'm sure that has been discussed (to no end) in previous threads, but I'm curious as to what the consensus is with regard to the MEZZANINE at the Marquis... Specifically, Row A-Center. I've only sat in the Orchestra throughout that house, and am wondering if it's worth if (for 9-to-5) to take the Mezz. Any and all insight appeciated. Many thanks!
Best,

Posted: 2/12/09 at 1:35pmI sat in the back of the mezzanine for White Christmas and thought the view was decent. I'm sitting in the 3rd row center of the mezzanine for 9 to 5 because I generally prefer mezzanine seats over orchestra.

Posted: 2/12/09 at 1:45pmHow is Center Orchestra, Row M? Well, the better question is... I have a seat in Row M which is the first row under the overhang so I was wondering, will my view be obstructed?

Posted: 2/12/09 at 2:17pmI sat Row M in the Palace, which I believe is bigger in terms of length (I am not sure, but it does feel bigger than the Marquis) and Row M was fine. So I assume it would be good for the Marquis.

Posted: 2/12/09 at 5:43pmI found the orchestra seats at the Marquis uncomfortable as my knees were right against the seat ahead of me. I'm 5'11" so don't have really long legs. Also, the rows were so close together that when anyone with seats further in the row came in everyone already seated had to go all the way out in the aisle to let the newcomers in. I was in the 4th row center of the orchestra. Getting in and out at intermission presented the same problems.

Posted: 2/12/09 at 8:16pmI sat in almost that exact spot for White Christmas. It didn't detract at all from the show for me (I didn't like the show for other reasons...), so I think you'll be fine. Especially front and center.

Posted: 2/13/09 at 1:29amThanks, that made me feel so much better, I'm usually so hesitant about buying seats under mezzanine overhangs ever since a horrible experience at Beauty and The Beast. But every night for 9 to 5, Row M, Seat 111 seemed to be the only seat available.

We're over from the UK in mid April...9 to 5 is one of the shows we want to see. With the exchange rate (our turn to suffer! )as it is I'm desperately looking for discounts...we've sorted Hair and South Pacific but can't find any for 9 to 5..any clues as to where they may be?
We've been to the Marquis a couple of times before, always in the mezzanine, which is fine, but a little distant. The theatre to me always feels a bit big and cold.

Broadwaybox.com has a discount for 9 to 5.
Does anyone know the box office hours for 9 to 5? I went during a weekday afternoon this week and it wasn't open. I also didn't see any signs with box office information and couldn't find info on the 9 to 5 website or Ticketmaster.
Thanks for your help!
