I was just wondering if this is slapstick comedy/music or adult humor or a little bit of both - bottom line, it is age appropriate for.........?? Thanks much in advance.

There is definitely some adult humor and language. I'd say maybe PG-13...
I would say 16 and up. The very first song about Martin being born is, well... very vulgar, yet amazingly funny. I think 13 is too young still, 16 is a good age I think.
When I saw it on Saturday, there was a girl about 11 years old sitting in the front row, and she seemed to really enjoy it.
well it depends on if your kid is Baby June or not. there's certainly something different about theatre kids than just plain kids to go to theatre.
i.e. if your kid acts like an adult they should be fine.
Banana, were you at the matinee? When the girl who impersonates Joan Rivers was like "you're too young to be here, where's your mother?" ?
