Mary Poppins Sold Out On Weekends Already

Just got off the phone with a friend, calling outside of the New Amsterdam Box Office. He just bought tickets for Mary Poppins for late January - it's sold out on weekends through then (at least the "cheap seats" are.) Tickets for the expensive prices are scarce, according to the ticket seller.

Disney has done it again.

That does not shock me at all... I'm happy we bought our tickets during the presale... We're going on October 28th at 2pm..

Go with the mezz. Row S is under the overhang, and it's possible you may not see all of one of the "effects" that I've read about.

I don't think that's terribly surprising. It's got an obviously recognizable name, familiar story, Disney's name attached. It just screams Broadway family fare. I am at least hopeful that this "family fare" will be of high quality as well.

I purchased my tickets at the box office this morning (for a week night thank goodness) but the gentleman in front of me couldn’t find a date where they had three seats together for him. All the ticket seller kept saying was "We have premium center seats available for $250"

I've sat in the balcony for Lion King. The pipe is there, and it does provide a tiny obstruction. It's not terrible, it's just like a little line in the sky you have to look around.
