Apparently, Matt Morrison was an early member of this late-90s boy band.

Yes, he was. They were comprised of the "losers" (the people who didn't make the final cut) from the first Making the Band. Matt was added later on I think, but he wasn't in the final lineup either. I think that was around the time he was in Footloose.

Posted: 12/20/08 at 12:44amYes. He was in LMNT and yes he was added later. If I recall correctly, he originally turned down Rocky Horror to pursue the band but he had left the band by the time he joined Rocky Horror as part of the final cast.

He's got the typical boy-bander look. I think it's hilarious that second article tells people that he sleeps with a stuffed Curious George. How much you wanna bet some fangirl is gonna buy him one now?

When I first saw 'Marci X', I marvelled (and was slightly perturbed) at how convincing Matt was at playing a boyband member. THen I found out about LMNT and it all fell into place. XD

Oh my GOD, I remember this band, vaguely. I lived w/ a boy band stalker in college (and I don't use the word stalker as hyperbole). I could never get around the fact that LMNT didn't stand for anything, but is pronounced "Element." I just couldn't understand why and she got mad every time I asked "Is that their initials?" "Is there some hidden meaning?" "Come ON it can't just be a weird way to spell element."
Glad he found something else to do.

Posted: 12/20/08 at 3:39pmMatt spoke about having a fight with Ikaika in an interview I did with him way back when. Something about camera men having to pull them apart at a Macy's shoot. Perhaps thats why/when he left the band.

The premise of the show sounds interesting and considering it's produced/written by the NIP TUCK guy, I'd imagine there'd be some potential there. In any event, it will sure put him on the map, especially since it'll be following American Idol. I sure hope we haven't lost him from Broadway forever ! Good Luck Matt !
