Matthew Morrison as PAL JOEY?

Based on the comments made by Morrison in his BWW interview, do you think he might be hinting that he is possibly going to star in the Pal Joey revival? I know Christian Hoff was in the running earlier, but that was a while ago and perhaps things have changed...anyone heard anything?

Of course not. I will be starring. Okay, I wish. But I just can't see that happening. I love Pal Joey too much for it to be ruined by bad casting.

Why would it be bad casting? True, he's a little too sweet and boyish for it, but there certainly could be worse choices...

It issimply the case that only TWO people played Joey during the original run. The first was Gene Kelly, arguably one of the greatest dances EVER on Broadway. The other was George Tapp, who went on to become... A CHOREOGRAPHER.

Michael Beresse is the closest I can think of.
If they surround him with Name Women, He is my first choice since Jackman won't do it.
