May show recommendations?

For my May show trip, I have tickets to:

Hello, Dolly, Oslo, The Great Comet, and Amelie. I have room for up to three more shows, but one night is dark Monday, so I am not sure what my limited options might be for that night. Some of the shows that are on my mind include Little Foxes, Groundhog Day, Anastasia, Come From Away, Present Laughter, Significant Other, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. There are many more that sound interesting, but so little time! I've already seen Dear Evan Hansen at Second Stage, and I have seen Miss Saigon before, so those two are not in the running.

I'll be back in early October, so I could see some of these then, if they are still playing.

Do you have Broadway and off-Broadway recommendations for my three slots? I'd love some ideas for a dark Monday night. Thank you!

Glenn Close in Sunset BLVD with a 40 piece orchestra is a must-see.

I would say Sunset BLVD, Come From Away (i've seen it in Toronto, It is one of those few musicals that I have become emotionally overwhelmed. It's beautiful) and Anastasia..... Though if you are open to an Off-Broadway show I would suggest the Sweeney Todd immersive show downtown.

One of your options (Charlie and the Chocolate factory) has Monday 7pm performances.

Thank you for the suggestions! I saw Sunset Boulevard in 1994, London, maybe? Might be good to revisit. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on my dark Monday night sounds perfect, I'll check it out!

This version of Sunset is very different from the 1994 one...I've seen them both. I also recommend you School of Rock and The Fantasticks, both of those I'd only see on Mondays or Sunday night(The Fantasticks has a Sunday night show too, it's Off Bway) and in October...Sunset closes in June.

"Sunset" is the best show I have ever seen in my life. But "Comet" is probably one of the worst shows I have seen in awhile...so if you can get a refund for the tickets and maybe add two more shows...that'd be my advice too.

I saw "Come From Away" and it was OK, but not a "must see" by any means.

I saw School of Rock in October with Alex Brightman!

I did not realize that this Sunset was getting such rave reviews. It wasn't on my radar since I had already seen it, but if I can get a ticket, it sounds too good to pass up.

I HIGHLY recommend Comet! Anastasia is also shaping up to be quite wonderful.

Sadly, I would probably remove Significant Other from your list... I absolutely adored this play, but it's looking less and less likely that it will be running by May.

Waitress will have Sara Barellies in the lead in May and the soundtrack is wonderful! I'm seeing it in May, and I'm extremely looking forward too it!

I saw Waitress with Jessie Mueller last May. LOVED it, so much fun! I'm following reviews of various previews starting soon/now...there are so many great shows, and not enough time to see them all. I hope that I can see some of them in October if they last that long, like Come From Away.
