Thanks for agreeing with me that Mayzie is a bigger and more important role. Yeah, of course Horton and the Cat in the Hat are the last two curtain calls. JoJo is before Gertrude I think. I wish you can e-mail my director and say "Hey, I think you should change the order" lol! ;D I mean, even in "Biggest Blame Fool", the whole Chorus is in that song. Yes, it of course features the Sour Kangeroo, but the rest of the Chorus is in it, whereas Mayzie has solo songs with just a few people on stage, and she's in "Biggest Blame Fool" and a lot of other Chorus songs.

sour kangaroo is bigger but you definitely need a lot of attitude and a really strong voice. mayzie is that diva that every actress wants to play.

I don't think the Sour Kangeroo is a bigger part. Also, you have to sing pretty well if you get Mayzie!!! Have you ever heard "Amazying Mayzie"? That last note that Mayzie sings when she holds out "Me" is pretty high, and you have to hold it for a while. It helps if you sing well, because you can portray your acting through your singing.

The bows from the Broadway production are as follows: (as best I can remember them)

the Who's
Cat's helpers
the Wickersham brothers
random bit players (like the Grinch, Vlad Vladikoff, and the bailiff)
Mr. and Mrs. Mayor
the General
Sour Kangaroo
Mayzie
JoJo
Gertrude
Horton
The Cat

The only one I am unsure of is Mayzie/JoJo....I can't remember if JoJo bowed before or after Mayzie. Also, I believe JoJo bowed much closer to the end when Aaron Carter was playing the role.

Wow! Thanks so much for telling me! re: Seussical the Musical That really helped! There you go, someone who actually saw it on Broadway just confirmed in the bows that Mayzie did go after the Sour Kangeroo, and I definitely agree. Thanks so much for telling me adamgreer. Anyone still think the S.K. is a bigger part?

I earlier stated that Kangaroo was bigger but now I think that Mayzie is a bigger role, but damn you really have a big head if you have a problem with her bowing after you. get over it, neither of you is the star.

I don't have a big head, I'm just trying to argue that Mayzie's a bigger part, and seeing what everyone else thinks about it, and trying to understand why she got a bigger bow than me, that's all. I know I'm not the star, I never said I was, did I? Don't get all mad at me! I never said anything rude here, ok? I was just trying to prove that Mayzie was a bigger part, that's all!

You know it has always slightly annoyed me that the Cat bows after Horton. Horton is the bigger character and should get the final bow, but I guess the Cat is the pop culture character everybody knows.

I always thought it was more about that the Cat is the "host and emcee" and is kind of the central character between the show's two worlds (the Jungle of Nool and Whoville). He/she ties all the action together and presides over the evening.

That;s my take on it, anyway.

Well, we just changed the curtain call yesterday for my school, and me and the Sour Kangeroo come out together, and she acknowledges me first, I take a bow, and then I acknowledge her, and she takes a bow. So, pretty much, the Sour Kangeroo and Mayzie are pretty much equal, at least in my school, but all in all, I think Mayzie's a bigger part.

Also, I have to disagree with Urban. I definitely think that the Cat in the Hat definitely has the biggest part! The Cat's almost in every song, and is always playing different characters. At my school, we have the BEST actor playing The Cat in The Hat, so it fits that he has the last bow.

Well, tonight's opening night for Seussical at my school. Everyone please wish me good luck!^^; This is my first lead, and I'm nervous for singing all of Mayzie's 4 songs. But, hopefully I'll get through it. ;D
