I would love for DC songs that didn't make the cut to be recorded. Specifically, Wild Life, Bossed Up, and the You Can Sit With Us Finale.

Heard some numbers from DC and was overall unimpressed except for with a few, that ended up being cut! Won't be picking up this one for sure.

If you pre-order the cast album you get "I'd Rather Be Me" downloaded instantly. Love the song.

This was the only song I left the theatre singing in my head. It sounds great on this recording.

Love “I’d Rather Be Me,” and Barrett was wonderful on Fallon last night! Can’t wait to see the show!

Why did they have her say “everybody” instead of “every assh*le” on the recording? She said the real lyric on Fallon and you wouldn’t think they’d have an issue with a recording. I hope it’s the real lyric on the cast recording and this was just for the single.

It may partly be because they are using the track extensively in their ads. It may also partly be because they are already thinking about the secondary markets for the show (schools) in which the language would be a turn off.

It still seems weird that they would use it on TV though. And theoretically, if a school wanted to change the lyric, they could provide that option when they release the rights (like include alternate lyrics in the official materials).

It seems weird and I don't like it.
