Apparently the stage door last night was a zoo... Anyone know what happened? I really would’ve thought it wouldn’t get to this point after the first preview!

I heard this too on Reddit - but I haven't actually heard any direct accounts on what happened. Apparently Barrett got egged?

I thought something like this would happen- but not this quickly! Combining all those Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen fans and putting them in the same place as Barrett Wilbert Weed was a recipe for disaster! After all of the Ben Platt situations at DEH, I have no idea why some actors haven't realized what a dangerous activity it is to stage door. Wasn't she stalked into her own home in DC?

According to Ashley Park’s Instagram story (which was deleted, so maybe she was wrong), the egging was done by people who live above the theater and were mad about the loud stage door. It wasn’t specifically targeted at Barrett, but I guess she was hit. The name plate was probably an annoying fan who is going to hang it in their bedroom.

That's what the Reddit thread said: "Someone from one of the buildings just above the stage door threw eggs down onto us. Didn’t seem like they were targeting anyone."

Could the Mean Girls stage door have been anymore disruptive than the Jersey Boys stage door at times?! If you're a neighbor to a Broadway theatre, this noise can't come as a surprise.

Any reports on how the stagedoor has been lately? Who has been coming out, how has the crowd behavior been, etc.?

I was there last night but had to leave so I wasn’t there til the very end. I think most everyone except Barrett and Ashley had come out by the time we left. They were all out very fast, no more than 15 minutes after curtain. Crowd was surprisingly calm. It was mostly younger girls with their parents.

I heard that the stage door has been uneventful as of lately. The only thing I’d point out is that there is a bigger rotation of who comes out and who doesn’t than in some other Broadway shows. You can mostly count on Erika and Taylor being there, but regarding everyone else it’s hard to tell if they’ll be out. You have good chances of seeing Kyle and Ashley, but Ben Cook and Barrett Weed almost always leave through a different door and avoid the stage door altogether (maybe it has something to do with the incident mentioned above?). Hope this is helpful. 

Btw, regarding the incident at the stage door, can anyone tell my why this kind of stuff seems to happen more to Barret? I hadn’t even heard of her before MG came to Broadway, so I’m totally lost here.

Supposedly Barrett was really rude to her co-stars, crew, and fans during Heathers off bway run. I don't know too much about it or if anything's true, but that's all I know

She left Heathers incredibly suddenly back in June 2014 and gave zero explanation (and to this day, she has yet to give a real one) and the rumor mill ran wild. Mostly about her behavior backstage, but nothing has been founded.

I was at the show today, and nearly everyone came out. We only missed Ashley, Kate, and Barrett. Erika and Grey were particularly warm and kind.

Try to message him before you go but I was told that he has't done SD since the Broadway run started.
