Personally, I'd go with either Adam Shankman or Andy Fickman.
Hear me out.
Shankman did a GREAT job with Hairspray. Sure, Rock of Ages was a garbage fire, but that was the screenwriters' fault. Tina Fey is writing the script.
Fickman is a theater veteran. He also directed a great movie musical with Reefer Madness.
