Melchior understudy on October 7th?

How else is Kyle Riabko going to do this concert and Spring Awakening?

Anyone know what the understudy situation is?

Or is Kyle not the opening act and will go straight from the Curran to the Cafe Du Nord?

From what I've heard (and I am not positive because my sources have other sources), Shingledecker is scheduled on as Melchior and Lucas is on as Georg.

According to Cafe Du Nord's calendar, there's a third act TBA so Kyle might be able to do both if he's the closer and bolts right after he's done with SA. But if they don't book another person looks like it'll be an understudy that day.

Shingledecker and Wells were EXCELLENT. So glad I went last night.

rowinvale, I saw your post at TGO about Matt's awkwardness in the sex scene. I didn't mind, though. re: Melchior understudy on October 7th?

Wow, I haven't been on here in a while.

Yeah, the sex scene was indeed awkward. It would seem that the awkwardness would make it more realistic, but the part that made it awkward was the messed up timing. Matt missed a beat while having an issue pulling down his pants. So Christy made her "oh!" on time, but Matt was a little late...

But anyway. I thought Matt and Lucas were both great. I wish Lucas's solo in "Touch Me" had been louder because his voice is a bit softer than the belting of Matt. But I much preferred his solo to Matt's.

I got lucky and was able to see Julie as Martha also since I happened to have front row tickets for the matinee. I thought she was great too. I liked Julie's line deliveries more than Sarah's, but her "Dark I Know Well" wasn't as good.
