I could possibly get front row for memphis. It says that they are partial view seats, possibly from the high stage? For anyone who has had the chance to sit there, reviews? Can you see everything/etc?
I would never recommend sitting front row for a musical. I hate it every time.
You need some perspective...move back.
Plus, you wouldn't want the cast to stop you sleeping.
Well, douchebag, if you LOVE front row, then why are you asking for people's opinions?
Munkustrap TRIED to be helpful....if you had added that info in the begining it would have been beneficial...no need to get snarky with the only person that chimed in.
I don't MIND front row....but I think it would be too close for Memphis. It IS a high stage, and I think there is much you couldn't see if it were not downstage. I was about 4 rows back and felt like I missed some. (Mostly, I missed my money.)
I didn't mean for it to come across as snarky. Things can be read differently over the net.
Anyways, thanks for the help, dramamama, and sorry munkunstrap for seeming to be arrogant.
I sat in the second row center and yes, it was way too close.
First of all there are speakers on the front of the stage support (below the proscenium) so all the music is so loud abd in your face that you won't be able to discern the lyrics. If you already know the score well this may not be a problem.
Second, there is of course the spit issue.
I was able to see into the wings a bit and I found this distracting. I don't really want to see the actors lining up for their next scene and hanging out. I had to make an effort to not look as the peripheral movement kept drawing my attention.
There is no partial view though. You won't miss anything except perspective.
thanks for the help tazber, I think I'm gonna try to be at least a few rows back.
