Are they still front row?
What time would I have to get to the Box office to get front row? How many do they usually have?
If I get their by 8 will I be safe?

We did rush for Memphis several weeks ago and they were in the rear mezz. They weren't bad, but the further back you sat, you did miss a little.

Do they only accept student ids?
Technically it is a student rush. However, when I did it on Saturday they didn't ask for my ID and I was front Mezz.
I wanna say that I got my ticket between half passed seven and quarter to eight.

Ok, I'm thinking of rushing tomorrow (around 11) and was deciding between this and Birdie... I rather this so here's hoping they except my passport as ID!
If they see something that is clearly not a student ID in your hand, like a passport, they might not sell you a ticket. I've gotten rush tickets without being asked for my ID, but that's because I've always had it in my hand and ready. If you're holding a passport, it's a red flag that you don't have a student ID, at least not on you.
I suppose it's worth a shot, but I'm just warning you, be prepared to be turned away if you don't have a student ID, despite what Winston says.
Depending how old you are, though, proof of age may well be okay. I mean, if you're fourteen and thus legally have to be in school and can show a document proving that, I'd think they would give it to you. If you're thirty and just showing them your passport, well, then, no. But yes, just in case, don't offer it unless they ask, because they might not. Also, be warned that the stage at the Shubert is very high, so the front row is fairly obstructed.

I have rushed for Memphis twice, and they did not ask anyone for ids. I think as long as you look like a student, you will be fine.
I sat in the front row, and the stage is high, but I saw everything fine. There is only one part where a box was in my view.

Ok, thanks everyone
I rushed the show last Monday. I was second in line around 9:30 and I got the third and fourth seats in the front row.

At noon there was a line out the door, literally. The evening rush was sold out and I wind up rushing Finian's Rainbow... it was cute.
Wow, nothing since '09? Has anyone rushed this in the last month or so? If so, curious where the seats have been, and how mobbed the box office has been.
I only ask because I said I'd take my mother to a show for her birthday and she's desperate to see this... really not looking forward to sitting through it again....
I did it this past Wednesday. Got there after 9:30, got seat AA107 for the matinee. I don't know how it is on the weekend, but it seemed easy enough this Wednesday.

Those front row seats at the Shubert are considered limited view, so that's probably why they're sometimes among the "leftovers" for student rush.
You can also get them for $76.00 incl fees via Telecharge. Not as cheap as student rush of course, but for a non-student they're great value for money. I don't think the view from front row centre is that limited anyway.
I didn't think the view was limited at all. What did I miss exactly? People's feet?
~Steven
Yeah, I think that's exactly why they call them limited view: the fact that you can't see their feet and there's quite a bit of choreography in this show.

Elixir--I didn't mind the front row at Memphis at all. But if your mom's short, you might want to bring her a cushion in a shopping bag. I actually did this for View from a Bridge and the folks around me were jealous. And please, nobody make fun of me on this one!
