Just spectacular. Made me tear up a bit too.
Oh, this looks fabulous! I just love Broadway documentaries. For what it's worth, I spoke to Terrence McNally at the Lilly Awards and the documentary of his life should get a wider release this fall.
Has anyone seen "She's the Best Thing in It," about Mary Louise Wilson? I really want to watch that at some point, too.
Can't wait for this. I love Gwen Verdon.

Yes. Its simply fantastic. It covers her entire career in full underscoring the documentary with her teaching her very first acting class. Even her stint in the early 70s on the CBS sitcom ONE DAY AT A TIME is mentioned which is an example of how much is covered.

Would love to see She's the Best Thing In It too!
I just saw "Merely Marvelous: The Dancing Genius of Gwen Verdon". I rented it on Amazon. I really loved it. I especially liked the part that she was the main person who sought to secure the right to the play "Chicago", from the original author. As I understand it, she tried for many years to secure the rights from Maurine Dallas Watkins. When the author passed away, her heirs allowed Gwen Verdon to have the musical rights to the play "Chicago".
